What are AI copywriting tools?

AI copywriting tools use artificial intelligence and machine learning to automatically produce various kinds of content in a fraction of the time it would take a person to write it alone. Most AI writing tools, ClosersCopy included, don’t produce completely polished content, at least not yet. Some sentences and paragraphs will turn out perfectly the first time around, but it’s a somewhat rare occurrence.

Sometimes they’ll need editing, and sometimes you’ll need to ask the writing tool to rewrite the paragraph a couple of times before you end up with something that’s workable. As a result, it’s best to consider these tools as highly advanced writing assistants; they don’t eliminate the need for a human writer, but they can make the writing process a whole lot faster and easier.

While the technology is just a few years old now, there are already a wide variety of options available for use. Some of these are better than others, and a lot of them are more focused on a specific purpose – that’s why we thought it important to provide a review of ClosersCopy, to help ensure that you can make an informed decision and choose the right writing tool to fit your specific uses.

How does ClosersCopy work?

Most copywriting tools use a popular autoregressive language model called Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3 (GPT-3) which uses deep learning to produce human-like text. ClosersCopy is one of just a few options that uses its own unique algorithms to produce copy. In fact, it uses three different algorithms to produce different kinds of writing in different styles:

  • Sales AI: as the name suggests, the SalesAI option focuses on writing SEO focused copy for sales pages, ads and promotional marketing emails.
  • BlogAI: BlogAI is trained to write longer-form blogs, articles and press releases.
  • StoryAI: StoryAI is designed to be a little more creative and aims to help with writing both stories and novels.

ClosersCopy pricing

For the purpose of this review, we won’t be diving into absolutely everything that Writesonic has to offer. I’m sure you’re already chomping at the bit to get going with your a

Like a lot of the other competing options, ClosersCopy offers three different pricing options, each aimed at a different kind of user. All of the options have a monthly billing option, however, you can make significant savings by paying your years fees in a block lump. Paying for a year up front might be economically sensible, but it’s important to make sure you get on with the interface and results or the tool before you make that kind of commitment. There are plenty of other options out there with free trials as well, so it’s definitely worth checking out the rest of the field.

Starter – $29.99 per month or $251.92 annually ($20.99 per month)

The starter package is a more introductory package. It provides access to the SalesAI, BlogAI and StoryAI algorithms, provides 50,000 characters of AI-generated content per month, and supports just a single user.

Professional – $44.99 per month or $429.92 annually ($34.99 per month)

The professional package is similar to the starter package, just with a higher word count. You still get access to the SalesAI, BlogAI and StoryAI algorithms and one user seat, but instead of a 50,000 character limit, you get significantly more at 200,000 characters per month.

Unlimited – $79.99 per month or $671.92 annually ($55.99 per month)

The unlimited plan, as the name suggests, gives a significantly higher limit. You get access to the SalesAI, BlogAI and StoryAI algorithms, but you also get unlimited characters and support for three different users.

AI content, so let’s look at some of the more popular aspects of the tool that you probably will want to try out:

Pricing verdict

While ClosersCopy isn’t the most expensive option on the market, it’s also not the cheapest. It also doesn’t offer a free trial option, something that a lot of the competitors do offer. If you get on with the program and find the results exemplary, then it’ll be worth it of course. However, it’s still a shame that you have to commit to at least a month’s subscription to find out if you even like the service.

Lifetime deals

Like a lot of the competing AI copywriting solutions, ClosersCopy is currently offering a lifetime deal. While their deal offerings change and they aren’t always available, here’s an overview of their lifetime deal at the time of writing this article, to give you an idea of what you might be able to get in the future. Each option can either be paid for in full, or in 3 instalments, with it being slightly cheaper to pay the whole amount upfront. There are currently four different lifetime options:

Superpower Solo – $119 per instalment for $357 total or $317 paid in one

With this lifetime solution, you only get one user seat, but you also get unlimited AI writing, unlimited SEO audits, unlimited updates and access to other features such as email support, the SEO planner and their 700+ frameworks to help you write.

Power – $147 per instalment for $441 total or $397 paid in one

With the Power option, you get two user seats rather than one – for you and a team member. However, there are limitations that the Superpower Solo package doesn’t have; you only get 300 AI runs per month, 50 SEO audits per month and limited updates. You still get access to features such as insights, email support, their 700+ frameworks and the SEO planner tool.

Superpower – $187 per instalment for $561 total or $497 paid in one

The Superpower option gives you access to three user seats – one for you and two for your team members. You all get unlimited AI writing, unlimited SEO audits, and unlimited updates in addition to their wide variety of features.

Superpower Squad – $247 per instalment for $741 total or $697 paid in one

The SuperPower Squad option is a great solution for those working in bigger teams, who need access to the tool for each member. You get access to five user seats, unlimited AI writing, unlimited SEO audits, unlimited updates and access to their wide range of other features.

Lifetime deals verdict

For those who find that ClosersCopy suits their copywriting needs well and who think that they’ll benefit from the service for a long time to come, the lifetime deals offer a very attractive solution. The upfront cost might be significant, but it’s a one-off expense and means you won’t be spending on the service every month. While it depends on which level you choose, in general, if you plan on using the service for over a year, it’ll be more cost-effective to buy one of the lifetime deal options.

Please note, the deals listed above might not be available at the time you read this article, and are intended to provide a general idea of the kinds of deals that might be available in the future.

Features

Most AI copywriting tools produce writing of similar quality, meaning that it’ll be aspects like feature variety and quality that become deciding factors when choosing a tool. While ClosersCopy uses a different algorithm than most of the competitors, meaning the quality of text will likely be slightly different, it’s still important to consider their features when deciding if it’s a good fit for your needs.

Longform editor

It’s no secret that the content that AI copywriting tools put out isn’t perfect the first time around. Luckily, it’s features like ClosersCopy’s LongForm editor that help long-form content writers create impressive SEO content with keywords that ClosersCopy can then fill in the gaps.

The LongForm editor makes suggestions that can help significantly reduce the time it takes to plan out a blog post, while also helping place keywords in optimised locations such as titles and subheaders. CloserCopy’s editing tool makes using the service simpler and more enjoyable to use, further reducing the amount of tedious work that you have to put into the copywriting process.

Templates

ClosersCopy has an impressively diverse library of templates that can help reduce the time it takes to plan and create marketing content. There are templates to help with writing Facebook ads, emails, sales pages, landing pages and a whole range of other options.

If there isn’t a template that perfectly matches your requirements, you can also add your own templates, and ClosersCopy is constantly adding new templates to the library.

Emotion analysis

In addition to informing potential customers, a significant aspect of high-quality copy is trying to elicit certain emotions in readers in order to persuade them to make a purchase. While it’s important that copy ranks highly, marketers often overlook this other positive impact; the emotion analysis feature helps writers to ensure that the tone of the writing matches the intended message they’re trying to convey, while at the same time helping to ensure that the writing remains consistent with the brand it’s being written for.

Spam warnings

A lot of email services, such as Google and Yahoo, flag certain words that are commonly associated with spam emails; if an email contains too many of these words or phrases such as “make money fast”, it can send the email straight to spam. ClosersCopy has a feature for email marketing that helps evaluate whether a specific email will be considered spam, and can make suggestions on how to remove those elements and ‘banned’ words.

SEO auditor

Most people who use AI copywriting tools like ClosersCopy will do so with a focus on improving SEO. While digital marketing can sometimes feel a bit like pushing content out into the vast space of the internet and hoping for the best, tools like ClosersCopy’s SEO auditor help to make the process more informed, allowing you to take a more analytical approach to your SEO and content production.

The auditor analyses content on the internet based on your keyword of choice, and then guides you on how to write content that will rank best. It gives you a score of between 0 and 100, to help you stay on track as you write.

Supported languages

While a lot of the competitors support writing in over 20 languages, ClosersCopy certainly has a competitive advantage here, supporting close to 200 languages. If you write for a lot of sites in different languages and find that the competing AI copywriting tools can’t cover all your bases, this might be a massive swing in favour of ClosersCopy.

Community on Facebook

As all AI copywriting tools are pretty new in terms of development, it can be massively beneficial to interact with the rest of the community who use your tool to ask questions and give advice. If you’re looking for a tool with a great community, ClosersCopy has a thriving Facebook group with 12k members. The administrators of the group are directly involved with ClosersCopy, making it easier for you to make suggestions for further improvements to be heard and implemented.

Examples

It can be a common occurrence for copywriters to experience some form of creative block, especially when you’re writing on a niche subject or about a subject you’ve already written about hundreds of times. Closerscopy has over 18000 copy examples, helping with inspiration and idea generation when those creative blocks strike. Even if you can overcome moments where you’re lacking inspiration without scanning through examples, it will likely save you a lot of time and help you to boost overall creativity.

Interface and usability

ClosersCopy has a solid user interface, that will suit a wide range of users. It isn’t the best, however; for some people, it might be considered a little too cluttered, with too many small icons dotted all around the page.

With that being said, it does provide a high level of functionality. That same page that some might consider cluttered provides a massive array of different formatting functions, helping you make the copy look just right.

Drap and Drop

One of the benefits of ClosersCopy when it comes to interface and usability is the smooth drag-and-drop function. You input a subject and the tool provides various sub-topic ideas based on that information; you can then drag and drop those ideas into the copy, when you find one that’s well suited to your needs. It simplifies the writing process, making it both easier and simpler – the two goals of any good AI writing tool.

How good are the results?

It’s important to note off the bat that ClosersCopy does not produce perfect copy – we’ve mentioned it before in this review but it really does need emphasising. No AI writing tool produces perfect copy, what makes a tool usable is if you can coax good results out of it without too much trying.

When it first came out, ClosersCopy had a harder time producing high-quality text than some of the competition such as Jasper AI and Shortly AI. This was likely because it has its own AI algorithm which had some teething problems. Those issues are partly a thing of the past now, but it’s still not perfect. Sometimes the text it produces won’t be related to the input keywords, sometimes it won’t really make sense at all.

When it does work, it works well and can provide impressive results. It does a great job at expanding on topics, and it can quickly rewrite and summarise any text that you input.

So, is it worth it?

ClosersCopy is a solid AI copywriting tool that will likely suit a lot of copywriters and content creators. Compared to the competition, the subscription-based payment plans are fairly average in terms of value for money, however, if you really get on with the tool and manage to buy it on one of the lifetime deals, you can potentially end up with a highly cost-effective solution.

There are a whole host of other competing options out there, and it’s important to try several before making a long-term commitment to just one. Unlike ClosersCopy, a lot of the competitors offer basic free options or free trials so you can test them out before committing – you might as well test the waters before choosing one that requires payment upfront.

ClosersCopy is a feature-rich tool and seeing as it doesn’t use GPT-3, it might be worth looking into if you’ve tried other AI writing tools and found the content they produce to be sub-par. At the end of the day, it’s a tool that can provide impressive results if used well and with appropriate expectations – whether or not it’s the right tool for you depends on personal preference and what you’re going to be using it for.
